Fill in the Blank Friday

It's Finally Friday!!!! I'm so excited about my plans this weekend. Although I'll be busy it's all fun stuff!!

Today I'm linking up with Lauren for Fill in the Blank Friday.

1. The highlight of my week was getting a great yearly review at work. It makes me feel good to know that my work every day does not go unnoticed. This is a huge change from my last position in a different department. Enjoying what you do everyday makes a world of difference.




2. If I had to classify my interior design aesthetic it would be modern and traditional all wrapped into one. However if you were to look at my home you would think I have not interior design aesthetic. I’m not good at making decisions but I’m working on it. My favorite stores are pottery barn, west elm and ballard designs.



3. My first vehicle was a white 1997 ford escort.



4. An item I need to have in my day in order to function is my iPhone. I don’t know how I ever survived without my cell phone. It’s my life line.


5. My favorite way to waste time is by going to Target! I took this idea from Valerie. I seriously could spend hours in there. The Hubs hates when I do that because I can never leave without spending at least $100!



6. Right now I could really go for a glass of Cupcake Pinot Grigio! With the weather being so beautiful and warm I’m craving a LARGE glass of white wine. Hey, it’s five o’clock somewhere!



7. This weekend I will be cleaning, working out and spending time some much needed time with my girls. I’m so ready to catch up with my Alpha Gam Lil Sis. She’s 12 weeks pregnant and just recently celebrated her birthday so I have some fun things for her!

FInally Friday

Who else is stoked that its FRIDAY?!?!? I'm so thankful its Friday and really excited about a low key weekend.

I think tonight we might grab a bite to eat and then browse through The Booksellers at Laurelwood to find some books to download on the Kindle Fire. Which I haven't gotten to use very much since someone aka the Hubs has been using it non stop.Its not really an issue at the moment. I currently have about 5 books on my nightstand I need to finish before I officially confiscate the Kindle from him.

Saturday I'm hoping to squeeze in a Jillian Michaels DVD in the morning and do some much needed cleaning around the house. Did I mention we finally got our dishwasher?! Three months after it was purchased and 18 months after it went out. I will say that Jared has done about 95% of the dishes since it went out so I have no reason to complain. I love that man and his dishpan hands!

Saturday afternoon we're heading to my parents to celebrate the February birthdays which include ME, Jared, my Mom, my cousin Heather and her daughter Savannah. Savannah. I am so excited about hanging out eating cupcakes and pizza and playing board games. However the real reason I'm excited about going is the cuteness in this picture with me.

Sunday I'm hoping to try out a new church and then we'll spend the afternoon at my in-laws. I love low-key weekends!

Anyone have any big plans? I know ALOT of people will be celebrating V-Day this weekend. Jared and I are going to celebrate on the actual day and cook a nice dinner and watch a movie!

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. If money wasn't an issue, the first thing I'd cross of my life list is a road trip across the US. Visiting all fifty states is on my bucket list

2. Running is something I like that other people think is weird.

3. If my life were a movie right now, the title would be "The Money Pit". Ha! Mable has to have knee surgery very soon so that's the reason for the title. :(

4. Three things I am looking forward to this month are Valentines Day, My Birthday on the 22nd & Jared's Birthday on the 20th. He has it rough!

5. My favorite song to sing in the shower whatever pops up on the 90's Pop or Spice Girls Pandora station. Don't knock it until you try it. You'll thank me later!

6. If I found out that the production of Diet Mountain Dew was ending this month, I'd go out and buy as much as I could tomorrow.

7. One thing I'll never grow tired of is hearing my husband tell me he loves me!

Weekend Recap

Last night while Jared and I were watching out Sunday night TV I couldn't believe that the weekend has come and gone. Seriously, where did the weekend go? This weekend was laid back but so much fun. Friday night Jared and I went shopping for a new fan for our bedroom and new globes for the lights in the master bathroom. Oh the joys of home ownership! We ended up going with a Hampton Bay fan that is flush to the ceiling. I didn't realize how having a fan flush to the ceiling would make the room seem bigger. This is a picture of the fan I took from the Home Depot site.

After our trip to Home Depot we were starving and not feeling like cooking or doing dishes since we currently do not have a working dishwasher. That's a whole other blog post in its self.

Quick question, do you and your significant other have a hard time deciding where to eat? We can always think of places to try when were not going to eat but when its dinner time and were hungry we can never decide on anything. Luckily Friday we were in a decisive mood. We ended up trying out Casablanca. I can't begin to say enough good things about this restaurant. We were seated immediately. The owner in the picture below on the left came and greeted us. Such a nice guy. The whole time we were eating he was visiting, suggesting foods and just getting to know his customers! I went with the Couscous Platter with Lamb and Jared got the Super Sandwich that had lamb, beef and chicken inside. It was ALL DELICIOUS! If you do go get their tea. You can thank me later!

Last month we purchased a Groupon for an unlimited month of aerobic kickboxing at Memphis Judo-Jiu Jitsu. The past two Saturdays Jared and I have gotten up and made it to the 9am class on Saturday. Getting up and working out early on Saturdays has really set the tone for the rest of the weekend. I'm going to be sad when my month runs out this Thursday.

That afternoon Jared's parents came to visit and help put up the fan. We hadn't seen them in couple of weeks since they decided to spend a week in Mexico. Not that I'm bitter or jealous! ha! We grilled steaks  and I made a cesaer salad and Iowa Girl Eats' roasted potatoes. It was enjoyed with my new favorite wine, Cupcake Merlot! So Yum!

Sunday was our lazy day. We went on bike ride and finished up laundry then ended the night with our Sunday night TV. I love spending the weekends with the ones I love. It makes my heart so happy.

It's Soooo Close

Yep, that's right. Graduation is so close yet so far away. I'm in the home stretch of my college career and I couldn't be happier or more stressed than I am right now. I'm counting down the days til I can be a normal person again. I can't wait to come home, work out cook dinner enjoy a glass of wine and just chill with my husband. Ever since we have been together I have been in school. I'll admit I have taken a couple of semesters here or there off for various reasons such as getting married or not wanting to pay for summer school out of pocket. So I can not wait to be able to spend as much time with him after work and on the weekends without school interupting! And I'm sure he is ready to not have to help me with papers because I have procrastinated and I have two assignments due that night! he he

I'm also looking forward to reading books other than school books! I absolutely LOVE to read. Call me a dork but I don't care. I have a couple that have been collecting dust on my night stand that are screaming to be read. Any book suggestions that you all might have are gladly welcomed too!

Goodness Gracious December 17th can not get here soon enough until then I will keep this in mind.

Senioritis

I truly never thought I would see the day that I made it to my final semester of college...well guess what I did. Today is officially my second day of school in my last semester as an undergrad! Yes that right I will be a graduate of the University of Memphis on December 17, 2011! Praise the Lord.
Now I would like to say I officially have senioritis. Unfortunately I'm going to have to stay on top of my studies due to the fact that I started a new job at work so I'm still trying to learn that too! UGHHHH! To say I'm overwhelmed is a complete understatement.This too shall pass. I guess I better pay attention to my teacher. Did I mention I graduate 12/17/2011?????
