FOTO Friday

Who is excited about its Friday?? This girl right here. We have big plans. Our "daughter" is spending the weekend with my amazing in-laws so these parents are getting BUCK-WILD! Ha ha, just kidding we do have lots of plans though. Tonight is going to be low key but tomorrow we have the March of Dimes Healthy Baby Walk at Shelby Farms. Jared and I are going to bike the greenline there and back. I may not be able to move tomorrow afternoon. That night we have a couples shower for Jared's best Friend Matt and his Fiance K.C. Sunday I plan on being all types of lazy at my in laws when we pick up Mable.

This is my lovely husband putting together our new IKEA Expedit Shelves that hold our TV. I think he was annoyed with me taking photos as always!

Almost Finished...

DONE! We have it sitting horizontally and love it! Were planning on mounting our TV on the wall once we decide on a paint color for the living room. I'm very indecisive so this could be awhile.

This was my Mom's Easter table. I love that she goes over the top with holiday decorations! Are the Easter Egg plates precious? They were a steal at the Williams Sonoma Outlet!

My Aunt decorated this cake. She's so crafty. FYI it was delicious too!

I've had all of these planters for some time now. A couple of weekends ago I drug Jared to Lowe's an purchased lots of potting soil and flower. I'm pretty pleased with the out come. Please disregard our "bobo" fence. The Condo Association is responsible for it and right now they are in a "fix as needed stage". Were pushing for a whole new fence but we'll have to wait and see!

The large planters are from Costco and they were $18 for two. Too good of a deal to pass up. They are plastic too which makes them easy to move around!

Here is a close up of the flowers in the large planter. I'm obsessed with Sky Pencils. The other stuff has already doubled in size. I guess I inherited my Mom's green thumb. I feel so domestic. HA!

These planters were here when we moved in next to the front door. I moved them to the back and added petunias. Its crazy looking at these photos because the flowers have tripled in size now.

Random, I know, but so is this post! I love these colors for a girls nursery! And no, I AM NOT PREGNANT! However everyone else I know is. :)

Guest Blogging

Hi Everyone! Today I'm guest blogging for Valerie while she spends enjoys some time in California. I'm blogging about the pizza casserole I made a couple of weeks ago. I received tons of tweets requesting the recipe so head on over to Along the Way with V & J to try it out. 

Thursday Thoughts…

1. Jared and I are heading to Atlanta to this weekend to stay with one of our favorite couples! I can’t wait! The only downside is we are leaving the house at 4 am. The upside is that it will give us ample time to shop at IKEA. Yippee! If we had one of these in Memphis my bank account and husband would hate me.

2. The purpose of our IKEA shopping trip is to purchase the Expedit desk for our office upstairs. I figured since we’ve been in our house two years and I work from home two days a week it’s time to finally get a desk.

3. I’m really sad about leaving Mable. I know it’s only for a couple of days but it’s still going to suck. As I have mentioned before our dog is our child. The good thing is that she is staying with my in-laws who love her almost as much as we do! Needless to say I’m sure she won’t miss us. Haha!

4. I’m on a roll with working out this week. I did the Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 on Monday and I ran 3.1 miles last night. I know that’s only two workouts but I have two more planned. I’m going to attempt to fit in another Jillian Michaels workout tonight in the midst of packing and cleaning and then Sarah and I are going to hit up her gym Saturday while were in Atlanta!

5. Also, I’m working on my first guest post next week for Valerie who is heading to San Diego. It’s going to be one of my favorite recipes and it is husband friendly! This is always a plus in my book.

6. Finally, today is my Friday! TGIF!!!!

Mable Mondays

In case you haven't noticed I am slightly obsessed with our daughter and yes, I do know its Tuesday. She may have four legs and be covered with fur but to Jared and I she is our baby! I take sooo many pictures of her so I figured I would dedicate a day to her on the blog. So sit back and enjoy some pics of our sweet Bull Mastiff puppy Mable Anne. :)

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's Finally Friday!!!! I'm so excited about my plans this weekend. Although I'll be busy it's all fun stuff!!

1. The highlight of my week was getting a great yearly review at work. It makes me feel good to know that my work every day does not go unnoticed. This is a huge change from my last position in a different department. Enjoying what you do everyday makes a world of difference.




2. If I had to classify my interior design aesthetic it would be modern and traditional all wrapped into one. However if you were to look at my home you would think I have not interior design aesthetic. I’m not good at making decisions but I’m working on it. My favorite stores are pottery barn, west elm and ballard designs.



3. My first vehicle was a white 1997 ford escort.



4. An item I need to have in my day in order to function is my iPhone. I don’t know how I ever survived without my cell phone. It’s my life line.


5. My favorite way to waste time is by going to Target! I took this idea from Valerie. I seriously could spend hours in there. The Hubs hates when I do that because I can never leave without spending at least $100!



6. Right now I could really go for a glass of Cupcake Pinot Grigio! With the weather being so beautiful and warm I’m craving a LARGE glass of white wine. Hey, it’s five o’clock somewhere!



7. This weekend I will be cleaning, working out and spending time some much needed time with my girls. I’m so ready to catch up with my Alpha Gam Lil Sis. She’s 12 weeks pregnant and just recently celebrated her birthday so I have some fun things for her!
