This will be a picture overload. Just want to warn you in advance. #sorrynotsorry
We left Memphis bright and early September 23rd. I was so proud that we were all packed the night before and I was able to get up and shower and we were out the door by 6. #winning #thisneverhappens
8 years ago we went to Gulf Shores for my bachelorette party and dubbed my friend Kayce "Miss Buckatuna 2009" so I had to snap a quick pic and send to her.
At one point I looked back and this was how Declan was snoozing with his binks over his head. I need to take a moment and brag on him. We hit the jack pot with this kiddo. It took us 9.5 hours to get to Destin and we only stopped twice and he only had the phone for a hours. He kept him self entertained and talked his head off but I will take that any day. He is just so funny now.
These are the faces of happy parents on their way to the beach. And I got some new DIFF sunglasses and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!
Here are some picks of when we crossed the bridge to Mobile. We saw the battleship and Declan told us that's where the pirates live. His imagination is unreal these days and I love it. Also, take note of my parents CRV in front of us. My dad who is usually quite the speed demon decided he was going to follow the speed limit....the whole way down. That was a whole other issue. My patience for that was running thin when we hit the Alabama/ Florida line. Get this Lady to the beach and out of the car!!!!
Passing the time taking pics of my cute chauffeur.
We made it to the condo and Declan was smitten with everything. This was "His Bed".
And "his bathroom"
and "his seat" at the table.
Our view wasn't too shabby either.
Us heading to take Declan to the beach for the first time. To say we were excited would be an understatement.
Look at the Sunset. God was showing off that day!
Walking down the steps. Holding on to the rail for "safety".
Had to take off our shoes. He was confused with this.
I think this was when he saw the ocean and realized we were heading that way.
This kid LOVED the sand and the ocean which made this week so awesome.
Two of the three men in my life!
I think I took like 50 shots of this. Love being his wife and that little munchkin's momma.
This was the view from the beach of our complex.
Day Two:
These googles lasted about two minutes. They sure did look cute for those two minutes though.
It's was cloudy most of the day and rained in the afternoon but it made sitting on the beach nice because the temps were near perfect!
After we napped and took showers my parents took us to dinner at Louisiana Lagniappe for our upcoming anniversary. It was probably my most favorite meal of the whole trip. The salad that comes with the meal was delicious and the service was perfect. We brought out the iPhone so that we could enjoy our whole meal. #parentingwin Didn't Declan look so preppy and cute???
Selfies with Momma before I handed over my phone.
Afterwards we hit up a cute ice cream place. He got Superman ice cream and he loved it so much that we went back the next night too! Mimi and Papa make ice cream dates fun.
There's the infamous Superman ice cream.
We crashed hard that night. Stay tuned for Days 3 and 4.
