It's Soooo Close

Yep, that's right. Graduation is so close yet so far away. I'm in the home stretch of my college career and I couldn't be happier or more stressed than I am right now. I'm counting down the days til I can be a normal person again. I can't wait to come home, work out cook dinner enjoy a glass of wine and just chill with my husband. Ever since we have been together I have been in school. I'll admit I have taken a couple of semesters here or there off for various reasons such as getting married or not wanting to pay for summer school out of pocket. So I can not wait to be able to spend as much time with him after work and on the weekends without school interupting! And I'm sure he is ready to not have to help me with papers because I have procrastinated and I have two assignments due that night! he he

I'm also looking forward to reading books other than school books! I absolutely LOVE to read. Call me a dork but I don't care. I have a couple that have been collecting dust on my night stand that are screaming to be read. Any book suggestions that you all might have are gladly welcomed too!

Goodness Gracious December 17th can not get here soon enough until then I will keep this in mind.

Senioritis

I truly never thought I would see the day that I made it to my final semester of college...well guess what I did. Today is officially my second day of school in my last semester as an undergrad! Yes that right I will be a graduate of the University of Memphis on December 17, 2011! Praise the Lord.
Now I would like to say I officially have senioritis. Unfortunately I'm going to have to stay on top of my studies due to the fact that I started a new job at work so I'm still trying to learn that too! UGHHHH! To say I'm overwhelmed is a complete understatement. This too shall pass. I guess I better pay attention to my teacher. Did I mention I graduate 12/17/2011?????

I like Big Butts and I can Not Lie!

I saw this on another blog and I thought it was great. I've been working out and running more lately and I will gladly take my big butt over a flat untoned butt any day!

I'm so happy because today is my Friday. In 8 hours I will be at lake enjoy some time with my Honey and our sweet puppy. I can't wait! Here are a few pictures from the lake to make you a little more envious! :)
My Sweet Hubby enjoying some Porch Time
My view every morning at the lake....
I can't forget all the trips to the Wal-Mart that I'm sure will happen this weekend. This was taken at the Wal-Mart in Truman, Arkansas. GOOD PEOPLE WATCHING

No post is complete without pictures of our sweet baby. You can really tell how big she's gotten and for good measure here are some pics of her as a puppy.

Happy Thursday/Friday!!!

Yoga in the Park

I'm an avid reader of healthy living blogs. Most of the bloggers live in larger cities such as New York, Philadelphia & Chicago and they are always talking about the fun exercise option they have. If you live in Memphis you know that it is not very up to date when it comes to being exercise friendly. However over the past couple of years our city has taken huge strides to catch up with the rest of America.

Lifetime Fitness which opened in Collierville has really helped people to get up and get moving. Also if you're not into spending an arm and a leg to workout you should look into the green lines around town. J and I love to bike the Shelby Farm Green line that is literally right in our back yard. I actually ran it last night. I'm a huge fan of changing up my workout routine. I love to run but running everyday gets old. I've tried Pure Barre Germantown which is an amazing workout. This weekend I'm really excited about participating in Yoga in the Park at Shelby Farms. I've always heard that yoga is great for runners. The only yoga I've don is Jillian Michaels and she kicked my butt. I'm so excited about giving yoga a try and plus it'll be outside at one of Memphis' greatest parks!

So Saturday morning I'll be grabbing my Camelbak water bottle.

My yoga mat

and heading to this beautiful park
to hopefully not make a fool of myself.

Maybe I'll be able to do this by the end of the class! ha ha

If anyone is interested they will be doing this every Saturday morning in June. Check out the Shelby Farms event calendar for more information.

Are you celebrating......

First you start with these shorts.

Then you add a cute drifit tank top...

Plus some of these awesome running shoes. (This is the pair and color I wanted unfortunately they didn't have my size so I got some really plain ones, same style. I know you're not supposed to pick running shoes based on color but I'm a girl and I like to look cute, even when I'm working out!)
When it's 752 degrees outside like it is in Memphis right now you need to stay hydrated so a handheld waterbottle or Camelbak is a MUST!
Filled with half water and half Gatorade!

All of these things equal a great run!

Are you celebrating National Running Day? I'm hoping to get in a short run tonight. My mileage and stamina are nowhere near where they used to be. Oh Well nothing a little running and time can't fix! I also think I've talked the Hubs into running again. He even agreed to go get fitted at Fleet Feet for a new pair of running shoes!

I might need to purchase this because it's cute!

HAPPY RUNNING DAY EVERYONE!!!
