IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!

This time next month we’ll be homeowners! We’re beyond excited, a little stressed but excited none the less. We close on the condo February 18th at 11:30 a.m. I wish I could just wiggle my nose and everything would be moved in! However, I’m not that lucky. I started this past weekend trying to get the apartment ready to move. I really want to start packing but I’m in desperate need of boxes. We’re going to hit up the local liquor stores for boxes. I know we’re going to need larger ones though. Does anyone know where we can get more boxes preferably free in the Memphis area?

We went last week and took more pictures of the condo so I’ll post those tonight. I can’t wait to get in there and paint and decorate. I won’t be decorating due to the fact that I’m the most indecisive person ever. Luckily, my good friend Kayce will be taking over in that department. She was blessed with creativity and decorating skills so I’m very fortunate!

I also started back working out this week. Tuesday night I went to spin with Julie and Nicole. It was tough but I made it! Tonight I’m going to attempt 2 miles on the treadmill. I’ll let you know how that goes. Next week starts Half-Marathon Training. I’m so excited! I really enjoy running so this should hopefully be fun! The longest I have ever run without stopping is 6 miles and that was probably 6 years ago so this should be interesting! My plan is to run the Nashville Half in April. The hotel is booked now I just have to sign up for the race. I’m hoping that my parents will pay for it as a birthday present to me…we’ll see. Better get back to work.

Engagment Pictures

Slowly but surely I'm going to post about my whole wedding. I figured I would start out with our Engagement Pictures. These were taken by Kevin Barre. We started out at the Brooks Museum of Art then headed to Hi Tone and then Downtown. I absolutely love them! Here are some of my favorites!

Weekend Recap!!

I love 3 day weekends! I need to find a career where I only work four days a week. This weekend was pretty busy. Friday night Jared and I had date night. We went all out and treated ourselves to Taco Bell. Don't Judge...we're purchasing our first home next month so we're saving every penny. Afterwards we went and hung out with our friends Julie and Brad. Jared hadn't seen her bulldog, Buckley yet so we stopped and said HI. I couldn't get over how big Buckley had gotten! Julie is running the Nashville Half Marathon with me in April. Here's a pic of Buckley...

Saturday Julie and I ran about 2.5 miles. That night we went to our friend Zach's housewarming party. He just recently purchased his home and it was lots of fun to hang out with everyone and see his house. I must say for a guy his house was decorated wonderfully. (Is that a word?) But I wouldn't expect any less from him!

Sunday we went to Jared's parents house and hung out. We hooked up the VCR and watched old home videos. Jared and Ashley were HILARIOUS!!!! Let's just say Ashlee was a priss pot with a capital "P" and Jared loved some whitey tighties! haha

Today Jared and I met one of my friends Kayce for Lunch at Jason's Deli..YUMMY!!! We were all fortunate to have the day off of work. After lunch we headed over to our new house to measure rooms and decide what to paint. Picking out paint colors is TORTURE!!! I'm so glad Kayce is good at decorating. Now were just getting ready for the short work week. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Now it's time to get back to the grind!

Need Your Help!

I'm trying to start my day off with time alone with God and am looking for a good daily devotional book geared towards women. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Going to the Chapel....

and McKenleigh’s getting MARRIED! I’m so excited my Lil Sis in Alpha Gam is getting married September 25, 2010 and I’m going to be a bridesmaid! I couldn’t be happier for her. She’s been waiting for this day for 7 years. Her ring isn’t too shabby either! Last night was when she asked us all to be bridesmaids. We all went to dinner at Old Venice. It was so good! Right before we ate she gave us all bags and instructed us to open the “present“ first and then the card. The “present” ended up being 1980’s prom dress they were hilarious. Then in the card she asked us to be Bridesmaids. It was so sweet and so funny!! Did I mention I’m really excited? I can’t wait for all the planning!

On another note, we signed a contract on the Condo! If the appraisal and inspection go well we should close the end of February. I’m so ready to be out of the apartment. We recently got new neighbors above us and they are so loud! It’s not fun at all.

So I’ve decided that my Goals for this year are:
*TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF MYSELF
*TRY AND BE THE BEST WIFE POSSIBLE
*SPEND MORE TIME WITH GOD

Now that they are written down maybe I will stick to them better. My big goal for taking better care of myself is running the Nashville Half Marathon April 25, 2010. I’ve always loved to run so I’m thinking this won’t be too hard. Who knows!
